Karkoszczonka Pass (729 m above sea level) is a deep pass in the Silesian Beskids, between Trzy Kopce (1082 m) to the north and Beskidek (860 m) to the south. Through this pass and Hungarian Beskid and Salmopolska Pass, the Klimczok and Szyndzielnia ridges connect with the rest of the Silesian Beskids.
Karkoszczonka Pass is the lowest point of the water divide between the Vistula (here: Brennica) and Soła (here: Żylica) in the Silesian Beskids. It is also the most convenient crossing between Szczyrk and Brenna, used by the local population for many centuries. It serves as a natural linguistic and ethnographic boundary, where the attire of the Silesian highlanders in Brenna differs from that of the Żywiec highlanders in Szczyrk. At Karkoszczonka Pass, there is a private shelter Uncle Tom's Cabin, which offers views, accommodation, and good cuisine. From here, there is a wonderful panorama of the Silesian Beskids, and above all, a view of Klimczok mountain.
