- Infrastructure: At the summit, there is a PTTK shelter, the upper station of the chairlift, a toboggan run, a telecommunications mast, and an observation tower.
- Trails: Many trails lead to Skrzyczne, including the blue trail from Salmopolska Pass and the red trail from Buczkowice.
This place is ideal for mountain hiking enthusiasts as well as those who want to admire the beauty of nature and breathtaking views. Enjoy your stay in Szczyrk! 🏔️🌲
The view from Skrzyczne is stunning: it dominates Szczyrk on one side and the Żywiec Basin on the other. This mountain rises above the surroundings by nearly 800 meters! Its characteristic, massive silhouette crowned with the RTV transmitter mast at the top makes Skrzyczne easily recognizable even from over 70 kilometers away on the Silesian Upland. At the top, there is the PTTK Skrzyczne Shelter, and in front of it, there is quite a large terrace and a board describing the panorama visible from here. It is also worth using the small observation tower, which will offer you an even broader panorama of the surroundings of Skrzyczne. With good visibility, you can see the jagged peaks of the distant Tatras and even more distant mountain ranges in Slovakia. There are numerous trails leading to Skrzyczne, and none of them lacks viewpoints. The most interesting panoramas can be found at the very summit of Skrzyczne. If you are planning a trip, we recommend the famous Zaba at the top of Skrzyczne. You can also get a stamp at the PTTK shelter on Skrzyczne or at other starting points such as Szczyrk, Salmopolska Pass, Buczkowice, or Godziszki. The blue trail from Szczyrk leads to Skrzyczne and is about 3.9 km long. The estimated time for the ascent is about 2 hours. Alternatively, you can choose the trail via Salmopolska Pass and Malinowska Skała. You can also take the cable car up. This is a great spot for active relaxation and reaching the summit at a pleasant pace. 🏔️🥾
However, we recommend a trip to Skrzyczne that can be started right by the XYZ Apartments in Szczyrk, where the lower station of the Gondola A1 starts the trail leading to Hala Skrzyczeńska, from where we head towards Małe Skrzyczne or Zbójnicka Kopa, from where it takes about 20 minutes to reach the shelter at Skrzyczne, visiting the already famous Zaba at the top of Skrzyczne along the way.
Skrzyczne is truly a beautiful peak, and this route is a great choice for mountain hiking enthusiasts. Walking through Hala Skrzyczeńska and Małe Skrzyczne will surely provide unforgettable views. And the Zaba at the top of Skrzyczne is a real attraction!
The yellow trail to Małe Skrzyczne can be completed in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The ascent offers plenty of hiking opportunities. From here, you can reach Malinowska Skała or Skrzyczne. Families with children are recommended to head to Zbójnicka Kopa and take the chairlift down to Hala Skrzyczeńska, and then take the gondola to the main parking lot where your car is probably parked.
