Leoša Janáčka Airport in Ostrava (OSR) – Czech alternative

It may surprise some, but Ostrava (Czechia) is an excellent base for reaching Szczyrk. The airport is smaller, less crowded and just 100 km away.

1. Car hire: A Czech motorway vignette is required (often included in the rental price). Take the D1/A1, then S52 and DK1 via Cieszyn.

   • Travel time: approx. 1h 10m – 1h 30m (fastest option when the border is clear).
